The Independent Lubricant Manufacturers Association (ILMA) was established in 1948 in order to meet the needs of its Members by providing advocacy, networking, and a collaborative effort to succeed in today's business world. The trade association is the principal voice for the industry before Congress, federal regulatory agencies and other industry groups. Through its enforceable Code of Ethics, ILMA promotes integrity and quality in lubricant manufacturing and marketing.

ILMA serves its members through:

  • Industry and Association Committees
  • Meetings
  • Publications

ILMA is guided by its Strategic Plan, which reflects the needs of the ILMA members today. After 15 years of utilizing a 'Long Range Plan,' in 2000 ILMA developed its first facilitated Strategic Plan with the guidance of Smock-Sterling, Strategic Management Consultants. A second plan was created in 2004, and now a new plan is being implemented this year. Click here to see the new ILMA Strategic Plan.

We measure success by the value received by our members and, ultimately, by our members' continuing financial success.
